Originally taking its name from the Delaware Memorial and Commodore Barry Bridges, which traverse the nearby Delaware River, the Two Bridges Wine, Beer, & Spirits Trail takes visitors on a tour through Southern New Jersey. The Trail has continued to grow since its formation in 2016 adding new stops along the way for your enjoyment to include new breweries, distilleries, wineries, restaurants, shops, and more. Our members are each unique and bring one of a kind experiences to their visitors.
Each and every one of our members is ready to introduce you to their unique craft beverage experience. We encourage you to visit the tasting rooms of each of the members to discover the depth and range of craft beverages being produced in Jersey. The Two Bridges Wine, Beer & Spirits Trail is designed for friends. Your group will find everything from a smooth rye whiskey, to a juicy IPA, to a buttery Chardonnay. You’ll discover drinks you never knew you loved, and local businesses that appreciate your support.
The Outer Coastal Plain American Viticultural Area (AVA)
The wineries in this region are part of the Outer Coastal Plain American Viticultural Area (AVA), a federal designation signifying a recognized wine grape growing region that is unique and beneficial to grape growing. The Outer Coastal Plain AVA of New Jersey has climatic and soil conditions which are among the best on the East Coast for producing high-quality wine. The 2,250,000 acres includes all of Cumberland, Cape May, Atlantic, and Ocean counties and portions of Salem, Gloucester, Camden, Burlington, and Monmouth counties. New Jersey’s nickname, the Garden State, derives largely from the more than 100-year history of growing fruits and vegetables in this area which supplies such produce to the mid-Atlantic region and as far north as Montreal. The wineries of the AVA are producing award-winning wines with vinifera, French-American hybrids, and native-American grapes. Take your tour of the Two Bridges Trail to start tasting them today.
